I am the only plus size person in my family, everyone else is on the skinny side. Every dinner table convo includes jokes about me. They make fun of my body on a daily basis. I didnt say anything as I thought I would get used to it but now I cant help but feel hurt by the jokes made by my own family. How do I tell them that their jokes are not okay?

Communicate it to them clearly. Put across your point sternly. just move away when such convos are going on showing resistance to them.

If you're upset, it's best to express your feelings calmly and assertively without resorting to insults or personal attacks.

I'm sorry that you're facing this! it's never okay to comment on somebody's body! my suggestion would be that you put across your point firmly and tell them how hurt you feel by all of this ! if you keep quite this will keep on happening and nobody will ever realize what grave mistake they are doing! know that you strong and beautiful and you deserve to be treated with respect and dignity no matter what shape size or color you are! but also be polite when you voice out ! probably they aren't aware what they've been doing to you! big hearts need a the voice of a person like you! you're precious 💗

Before answering others ask yourself what makes you happy. Are you accepting yourself the way you are. If yes, then don’t get bothered by what others say. Embrace your beauty with a plus size only. Don’t listen to what others say.

Heya everyone This is my first time using the app.Kindly ignore any mistakes. I am kind of chubby or you can say overweight 24 years old girl.Initially I didn't have any insecurities. But since a year or two when I moved to Delhi.I constantly try to fit in among people. But it feels like I'm losing a part of me.🥲
hey Anonymous. one needs to be physically fit, not to please anyone but for urself. Being overweight should not be the reason for your insecurities . You need to accept yourself first only then others will accept you if you feel you are loosing urself trying to fit in... ask yourself what is it that you are doing that's creating discomfort within you ... identify and work on it.. good luck 👍

I'm very flat chested as well as underweight. I'm very insecure about my breast. I stuff pads in my bra just to look a little bit appealing. But, once my classmate asked me that "how come you became 28B from 26A?" This shattered my confidence and ruined my mental peace. What should I do guys?
Anonymous-18d
I myself suffered from this before! All the ladies in my family taunted me again and again on how clothes doesnt look good on me coz I dont have a fat ass and good breasts. It actually shattered me a lot but now I just ignore them. Ik I am better than them and thats enough
Hi there, I hope you are well. Your bra or breast size doesn't define you :) you may be genetically inclined to having smaller breast size which is absolutely okay. Just embrace it. - Also, try to gain weight in a healthy manner if you feel that you are underweight. - Include enough protein, nuts, seeds, dates, ghee, lean meat, eggs, millets, dairy and dairy products for healthy weight gain. - If you are looking for some advice on gaining weight, then you can book a one-one consultation with me. I shall be happy to guide you :) - Also, surround yourself with people who support you, encourage you, love you, respect you for who you are, and like you the way you are. Find support groups, and seek professional help if needed. Take care and stay positive ✨ you are worth it !

One time I wore a gorgeous sleeveless outfits and got so many compliments but some also said, that I've got really big arms. It really affected my self esteem. How do I deal with this???? @Intelligent_Rocket_0277

There are many myths linking attractiveness and love to body size. What's your take on debunking these myths from a nutritional perspective?"
Sure! Here's a simple breakdown: 1. **Myth**: Being thin equals attractiveness and love. - **Debunking**: Attractiveness and love aren't solely determined by body size. People are attracted to various qualities beyond physical appearance, like personality, intelligence, and kindness. 2. **Myth**: Eating less makes you more attractive. - **Debunking**: Eating a balanced diet that nourishes your body is important for overall health. Crash dieting or extreme restriction can harm your body and may not lead to long-term attractiveness. 3. **Myth**: Being overweight means you're unlovable. - **Debunking**: Weight doesn't determine worthiness of love. It's about self-confidence, respect, and finding someone who values you for who you are, not just how you look. 4. **Nutrition Perspective**: Focus on nourishing your body with a variety of foods rich in nutrients like fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains.

Body positivity is an empowering movement advocating for the acceptance of all bodies, regardless of societal or media ideals. This concept is particularly important for women, who often face intense pressure to conform to specific beauty standards. Women's body positivity is about embracing and celebrating the diversity of female bodies in all their different sizes, shapes, colors, and ages. It is about recognizing that all bodies are beautiful and worthy, and rejecting the idea that a woman's value is tied to her appearance. This movement aims to help women cultivate a positive relationship with their bodies, encouraging self-love, self-acceptance, and self-care. It promotes the idea that everyone deserves to feel comfortable and confident in their own skin, and that respect and inclusivity should be the norm. Body positivity inspires women to focus on their capabilities, strengths, and character, rather than their appearance. It sends a powerful message that beauty is not a one-size-fits-all concept, and encourages society to redefine its perception of what it means to be beautiful. In essence, women's body positivity is a celebration of women in their most authentic form, advocating for self-love, acceptance, and a healthier perspective on the female body.more
