The good thing is you know your trigger, what you can do is set yourself a media time where only that certain hour of the day you consume media then you can mute those apps and try to engage in other activities, Try to understand it’s information that you are consuming but we don’t have to let that information consume us,so giving ourselves practical positive self talk of how the media world and your world are seperate entities can help you manage the impact but yes it does have negative impact

In this day and age it is difficult to stay away from the information thrown at you. But to keep your peace of mind, just try and not to indulge in every thing you hear or see. only things that are important to you should be taken in.

Let’s begin by controlling the controllables. You cannot control what’s shared in the media but you can definitely choose to consume it mindfully. By mindfully I mean - 1)pick and choose the news you want hear or know more about. 2)Unsubscribe to channels you feel don’t align with your current goals. 3)Become conscious of the time you spend reading/ watching news. Limit it. Getting a minimum of 7hours of restful sleep, exercising, eating fresh food and hydrating well help us balance our selves through out thick and thin. Maintaining mental stability. Heyi..Just detox yourself by limiting media time gradually and try concentrating more on things and activities which makes you feel good and happy. Too much much media can induce anxiety and stress
